November 26th, 2008 — Making Extra Income Online, Making Online Passive Income
If you’re looking to get into residual income opportunities with Adsense then are all sorts of strategies and tips that you should be putting into play in order for things to work out well for you. What most people do when they look for Adsense keywords is they end up targeting any keywords that are high paying. This is a good start but there is a bit more to it if you want to make good income online with Adsense.
The worst case scenario that many beginners do is just target words that get high traffic. This is ok but if the CPC (cost per click) of those keywords is not high at all. So even if you get high traffic and high clicks on your websites you won’t see that much income come in.
Smarter Adsense publishers will go after high paying keywords that also get high search results each day and month. If your site starts to rank well in the search engines your passive money will go up for sure. If you do this you are starting to get there.
The above strategies work well and should be followed or avoided but what I want to speak to you about now not many people think about. One thing you want to do is make sure that the keywords you’re going after have sponsors or advertisers paying for these Ads. You see there are certain keywords that don’t have many sponsors. What does this mean? You may rank well for these words and be getting clicks but if there aren’t any or many advertisers then Google will just spit out related keyword ads and many of these ad’s might have really low CTR’s.
So what you want to do when selecting keywords is choose words that have a high CPC, get high traffic, and also have many advertisers. Google will give you an indication with a small graph of how many people are advertising for the keyword you’re going after. If it’s full or very high then you can be pretty sure there are a lot of advertisers paying for this keyword.
